On the Weekly Grind {Tuesday Tried It}

I think things are finally getting settled in my classroom. Why do I even say that? Why? Next thing you know something will be wrong and class will be super crazy again. In my last post I was complaining about one of my classes. They are honestly wonderful kids; however, their social lives like to get the best of them in the classroom. For Holly's  Tried it Tuesday, I want to share the Happy Class Seating Chart Website with you!

This website is amazing! I was able to set the desks up the way they are in my classroom and add my students. It allows you to move your students around and note any accommodations they might have. It helps remind me that they need to sit in the front, or they can't work with a specific person. This website provides me with the best visual of where students are sitting. This is awesome for when you have a substitute. Your sub can take attendance according to the print out of your seating chart.
I really suggest trying it out!

On to other school news...
This Thursday is Curriculum Night. It is the night where parents come to experience the same schedule their students do. I am more nervous about this night than the first day of school. Do you have any suggestions?

I'd like to leave you with my first school picture as a teacher!

  1. Aww...your first teacher picture is cute! I like the seating chart website. Our online gradebook that we use in our district has an option of incorporating a seating chart by using pictures of the kids that are uploaded into the system. You can take attendance by the seating chart. We have Open House on Thursday night for the parents and students. I'm ready for it to be here.
