Fourth Holiday Weekend(PAINT PICTURES) & Middle School Blog Hop

Happy Fourth of July weekend! I hope you all are having fun with family and friends! If you are not from Florida, you may not know that we get annual consistent afternoon showers (ugh). Me and the Mister got soaked before we could even see any fireworks.  I don't know what I was thinking when I thought a towel over my head would keep me dry. Pssshhh! Who was I kidding?! Did you see my post about the hideous mural in my classroom? I had the most amazing muscl-y armed boyfriend help me paint the first coat of paint in my classroom on Friday (there were a few wet spots when I took the pictures):
Mural Wall (One of the faces kept coming through the paint [weird, I know] that is why there is
a large wet paint spot)

This wall used to be royal blue. This is only one coat of paint

I plan on going back next week to give the walls another coat of paint to finish it up. The paint is a minty green color, and I plan on adding a chevron touch to pretty much everything. Do you like the transformation in progress?

I love finding and meeting other Middle School bloggers. I feel like they are hard to find. Thanks to Sixth Grade Tales I do not have to venture far anymore.

  1. I am also from Florida and have just decided that rain on the 4th of July is now part of our tradition. I am glad you were able to paint your room, the mural would definitely freak me out. I taught high school for two years and now teach middle school, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and I love them. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. If you enjoyed 9th grade then you probably will, they aren't too different. Good luck with e erythema!
