Monday Made It {July 22}... A few minutes early!

Happy Monday! Hope everyone's weekend was fun and eventful! I am excited because I only have ONE more weekend at my part time summer job! It is an awesome feeling! This week has been really eventful in the Creative department! I have been brainstorming ways to keep my seventh graders updated on the news going on around campus (other than my class website) Let's not discuss that as a "Made-It"... I have not been able to do much to that site... For Tara's Monday Made It Linky:

I plan on calling this board my "Currently" board. I made a bunting banner for it.
It just needs some Jute string and to be hung up. For now, I just have the board:

Above: I found a cork board at HobbyLobby, Burlap (ON SALE 1.99!!), White ribbon,
Staple Gun, and a Glue Gun

I stapled the burlap to the board so it fit tightly all around the board. Then, I turned the board around and stapled the burlap around the borders of the cork board to make sure my material was as tight at possible.

Please excuse the dirty mess on the glue gun! (Am I the only one whose glue gun looks like this?)
As I glued a little around my stapled border, I covered the staples with the white ribbon.

I added a burlap bow, and tada!
I will add my bunting "Currently" banner above the board once I get it hung up in my classroom.

My second Made-It!

I made my punch-it Hall Passes!

They are the width of an index card. I plan on making my students responsible for their
passes all year. I will help them by helping them make a special "Hall Pass Holder" in their
Interactive Notebooks at the beginning of the year.
What do you think? If you like it, it is available at my TPT store for FREE!

Also! For all my blogging friends, do you shop online?
What are your favorite stores?
I have a wedding coming up that I am speaking at that is on the beach. I am looking for a flowy
maxi dress. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!!

Happy Monday!

  2. Hi! I'm stopping by from Monday Made It! I also want a "Currently" board in my classroom. I wanted to use it in a slightly more personal manner though. Last year I had lots of kiddos ask me what I was reading or for a suggestion of a book. I wanted to make some sort of display telling them what I'm reading at that particular time. I also want a personal bulletin board for pictures and whatnot. I really like your burlap and natural theme! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Oh...that board looks super fun to make except I'm not allowed to use the staple gun. I'm dangerous! I find all of my maxi dresses in Kohl's...OR...wait for it...Target Maternity(no, I'm not expecting any bambinos...they just aren't tight, which I like! TJ Maxx always has a good selection. The only place I've ever ordered any dresses online was through JCPenny's because they have some flowing ones. I only ordered from them because I could return them to the store easily if they didn't fit. I'm one of those weird people that has to try on EVERYTHING...even if it's 200 items!

    1. Thank you!! I have not set foot in a Kohl's in a while! I have been on some TIGHT budget restrictions since summer started haha. I might just have to make a visit! You?! Dangerous with staple guns? How could that possibly be?!
